Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This lady actually catered for a birthday party I went to this evening. This is the best amala ewedu and gberi i have ever eatin. The stew was hot perfectly spicy and had soft and fried meat. Most restaurants do not boil their meat to be soft then fry it. Her food was exceptional. She will cater for me!!!"
"amazing quality of traditional african dishes! the jollof rice and pounded yam were incredibly delicious and authentic."
"Good customer service and experienced staffs and services. I love the food also."
"We found this place on Google while on vacation in Houston. It's a decent place with the atmosphere of an african restaurant. The food was the best part. We ordered fufu and vegetables stew and Amala and Gbegiri. Oh my goodness! It was the best. For a total of $47, the taste, quality and quantity exceeded our expectations. We will come again if we are around this area. Thank you for wonderful service and great food!"
"Worth the time and money, puts some others to shame, I’m from out of town, still better than the restaurants in my state"
"I love the food here. They were closed on the Sunday my fiancé and I stopped by, but they still served us. I had the vegetable soup and my fiancé had the amala and ewedu. It was so delicious."
"Food very good and good service. Came from Galveston just purchase.."
"The food was excellent! I’m American and I prefer to have less spicy so my husband asked them not make it spicy…they didn’t. The food was fresh and delicious."
